G. Salim Mohammed

I am Stanford University Libraries New Digital and Rare Maps Librarian. My position is firmly entrenched in both camps: paper-based (mostly) cartographic objects and their digital derivatives. Prior to this position, I was the Maps and GIS librarian at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I led a team that created an interface to find and download historical imagery of Hawaii. I have graduate degrees in Geography, Library Science and Business.
