I am a Ph.D. candidate in history at the University of Southern California. I study the nineteenth-century United States, with a focus on the history of the book. I have just begun work on my dissertation, tentatively titled, "Cabinets of Miscellany and Meaning: Managing Information in Antebellum America." I hold a B.A. in history from Claremont McKenna College and an A.M. in public humanities from Brown University.
